Glenn is a self-taught outsider visual artist & classically trained musician living in Los Angeles.
He has made art his entire life, but began mostly painting in 1989 and sold 2 of his first pieces before they were completely dry, titled “Kitchen Fossils”. The Modern Primitive Gallery in Atlanta began buying & selling his work shortly after that, and soon Isaac Tigrett, co-founder of “The Hard Rock Cafe”, began purchasing many of Glenn’s pieces from them for his new concept, “The House of Blues” in Cambridge MA., which opened in 1992. Glenn moved to Los Angeles in 1998, and began selling directly to HoB, & also began selling smaller works in the HoB Company Store Gift Shops, and airport shops nationwide. In 1998 he was commissioned to produce 100 pieces for The HoB wing of The Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, as well as for their licensed hotel in Chicago. His smaller work is still available in all HoB Company Store Gift Shops. HoB has purchased and sold several thousand of his pieces since their origin. He has had a few solo shows in Los Angeles: in WeHo @ NCompass Int’l, a few private residences, Chris Covics’ “The Unknown Theatre” in Hollywood, “Equator Books” in Venice w Destin Clover, & has also been in several group shows at The HIVE Gallery Downtown L.A., and Beverly Hill’s “Affaire in the Garden”.
His work is available online at www.glennfox.com and his larger work is viewable by appointment in West Hollywood, CA.
A lover of animals, he also does pet “portraits”, that are not guaranteed to look exactly like your pet!
Digital prints of almost all of his artworks are available on a limited basis, on canvas, paper, and a variety of substrates.
